inspired by souvenir-cameras with slides of the matterhorn, lake lucerne or other beautiful landscapes, I started to experiment with lenses, microfilms, and gold. the goal was to put the universe inside a ring. after some time it was possible to wear at least the solar system on a finger. the first dingdrin was born. it is possible to put almost anything you like on microfilm, and then inside the ring, so I asked friends to make pictures for more rings. now there are about 50 different pictures to choose from for a dingdrin ring. because I kept getting requests for customized rings, I also offer rings with pictures of whatever is important for the people wearing the ring: pictures of cats, dogs, friends, poems, secret words... dingdrin is a member of the association d`œil plaisé found in 1999 www.happyeye.de «trying to make more pieces to please the eye»
